Carey Bender
Coe College - Iowa


Carey Bender, a native of Marion, IA received his award while a running back for Coe College. Bender held seven All-Division records and 18 Division III records. He was names to the Kodak, Champion and Football Gazette All-American Teams in 1993 and was named 1994 Midwest Conference Offensive Player of the Year. Carey held the NCAA record for points scored in a careen with 528 and all purpose yards in a career with 7,790.

He played with the Buffalo Bills in the NFL and spent a season with the Scotland Claymores in the spring of 1998.

Carey is currently a development officer responsible for fundraising and public relations for Coe College.
